We will finance projects for the inhabitants of Płock.  We accept applications until November 23, 2020

The “Grant Fund for Płock” Foundation invites non-governmental organizations as well as individuals and informal groups to submit applications for support for projects targeted at the inhabitants of Płock. As in previous years, the funds come from the Founders of the Foundation – PKN ORLEN and Basell Orlen Polyolefins and donations from the Levi Strauss Foundation.

For the tenth time, the Grant Fund for Płock invite to apllicate the form associations, foundations and non-governmental organizations, who have an idea for projects which can help the inhabitants of Płock. NGOs can apply for grants of up to 25,000. PLN.

For the fourth time, local liders and initiators of various social enterprises, who – being residents of Płock – do not belong to any organizations, can apply for money for the implementation of their ideas. They can be both individuals and informal groups who want to take action for their environment. Such projects can receive co-financing in the amount of up to 5,000 PLN

The upcoming edition is unique due to the epidemiological threat. The purpose of grant competitions, which have been awarded by the Grant Fund for Płock for over 17 years, is traditionally to support projects aimed at improving the quality of life of Płock residents. The Grant Fund for Płock and the socially responsible Founders are aware that global challenges, primarily in the world plunged in the coronavirus epidemic, but also economic, social, climate and educational difficulties, have reached a level of complexity that we will not solve at the level of an individual or even a single organization . Therefore, the competition will promote the SDGs for Sustainable Development, announced by the United Nations, http://www.un.org.pl/. Their implementation through all available means, including the Internet, is an opportunity to ensure a better future for present and future generations, especially in the face of today’s challenges.

We believe that the ideas co-financed in this year’s grant competition will be innovative, adapted to the current conditions, using modern technological and IT solutions that will benefit the entire community of Płock residents.

The Grant Fund Foundation for Płock is a unique example of public-private partnership in Central and Eastern Europe. The founders of the Foundation are: PKN ORLEN, Basell Orlen Polyolefins and the City of Płock. The fund is also cyclically funded by the Levis Strauss Foundation. Thanks to the support and systematic cooperation of the Founders, the Foundation has been financing and settling grants for Płock non-governmental organizations for over 17 years. He also initiates his own projects that get into social niches. In 2017, the Foundation was recognized as a good practice and a model for the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Poland. The creators of the campaign promoting these goals have included it in the report “Partnership in practice. Review of activities “, as one of the 15 most interesting, carefully selected good business practices and CSR, implementing SDGs, as well as the idea of partnerships, appreciated by the organizers of the 17/17 campaign. Grant Fund for Płock was also recognized in 2019 as one of the best social business projects in Poland, having the greatest value for Polish society in the past 30 years.
